xxxx Ford Bronco The barn find from WV, amazingly little rust, looks more like a California car. It came complete with two bees nests in the hardtop. IMHO xxxxs are one of the best ones due to the higher horsepower rated early motors, removable window frames on the doors and the fold-down front windshields complete with hood latch to lock in place. The exterior is almost all original paint and it has a great "survivor" look complete with uncut rear fenders. There only original once. No awful bondo, rhino lining or anything else as a coverup. 289 motor and transmission have had the gaskets all replaced (due to sitting so long). It starts with the first turn of the key. It is a 3 speed still on the column, it runs, stops and shifts good. It is an old Bronco but is easily good enough for daily driving and appears completely usable as is. The original owner started to "clean up" some of the underhood area and inside but did not use good matching paint. The rusty look areas of the front floor pan areas is really just surface rust due to rubber front floor section. I would simply recommend cleaning and painting for a nice uniform look. The rear tail gate is also dented at top (they backed into something), probably best handled by a paintless dent guy. The seats have new black upolstery. Lights and guages all appear to be working. A good honest Bronco in really nice, basic original shape.
